Suzuki intends to make a strong comeback in Europe from 2022 with a particularly ambitious product plan. Next year, the Japanese brand will introduce two new models, the fifth generation Vitara followed by the third version S-Cross. In both cases, a hybrid powertrain will be fitted as standard.

After that, Suzuki will move up a gear with the fourth-generation Swift city car, an extremely important model that will shape the brand's future on the Old Continent. The sporty Sport version will also be back. A new electric city car will be launched this year, possibly called the Wagon R.

For 2024, the Vitara range will be extended with a new plug-in hybrid model. The Jimny will return to the continent this year with a hybrid powertrain to meet the latest emission standards. Finally, an electric city SUV will complete the Japanese manufacturer's portfolio for the next three years.

  • I hope it still looks the same though. It doesn’t need to be made to look more ‘electric’

  • As usual or expected, Suzuki designs another desirable Jimny. A hybrid makes so much sense for one of these.
