The Tesla Model 3 is already the most popular EV for UK leasing customers
It's been a long time coming, but the Tesla Model 3 finally went on sale in the UK a few weeks ago. And despite the delays getting a right-hand-drive car to market, it looks like UK buyers are likely to lap it up.
Data released by leasing.com, a price comparison website for car leasing here in the UK, shows that it's had more lease enquiries for the Model 3 in the past week than the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-tron did in the past month.
Of course that could just be half-interested buyers checking out prices, but given that monthly leases for the Model 3 start at £400 compared to £440 for the I-Pace and £570 for the Audi, it seems the entry-level Tesla does look set to be a popular car in the UK.
That said, the Model 3 still isn't the most enquired-about hybrid or electric car on the leasing website. That honour goes to the Toyota Rav4.
