And this Tesla sends heavy, very heavy

If you follow Tesla news, you know that the Tesla Model S Plaid has been in the spotlight for a little while now.

It was presented during its first turns of the wheel as the most powerful Tesla ever designed, even if the prototype did not shine on the Nürburgring against the Porsche Taycan.

During the Battery Day event (Tesla house show where the brand's latest innovations are presented), Elon Musk presented the Model S Plaid with all the official information, and there we can say "Oh my God !!!".

The Tesla Model S Plaid will have an output of 1,100 hp, go from 0 to 60 mph (96 km / h) in less than 2 seconds, and its top speed will be 320 km / h.

It was also announced that the Model S Plaid now holds the lap record at the Nürburgring, ahead of the Lucid Air. And the announced time and the gap strongly reminds Lucid's performance (1'30 "3 for the Tesla Model S Plaid, against 1'33" for the Lucid Air).

The advertised price is $ 139,900 (or € 119,750), which makes the Model S Plaid cheaper than the Lucid Air.

To conclude, if the road tests of the Plaid confirm the performances announced, well Tesla will have scored points, and for a long time.

  • Definitely legitimate, that’s going to be one of sickest cars on the road.

  • I rather have luxury than performance in these heavy full size sedans, so Lucid Air is still my first choice so far.

Its also a shame that knowing you've paid so much over the base price of the Model S, you only get some extra performance that are unusable in the real world, with no design features to visually distinguish the higher end models from the base models.
