1. Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark III
The Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark III model, also known as the Aston Martin DB Mark III, was an improved version of the DB2/4 Mark II model. The DB Mark III was the first Aston Martin to have the world famous grille. The model was offered in 3 bodywork types, the hatchback, the drophead coupe convertible, and the fixed head coupe coupe. Most of the cars were in hatchback form and only 5 fixed head coupes were built.
2. Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato
The Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato was built by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato based on the already beautiful DB4 GT. Zagato not only fitted the car with a higher compression ratio six cylinder engine producing 314hp, but also added a lightweight and aerodynamic bodywork built from Aluminum. Although 25 cars were planned to be built but only 20 cars were actually built. Currently Aston Martin is building 'continuation' models with modern technology although the question of maintaining the original soul of the DB4 GT Zagato is controversial.
3. Aston Martin DB5
This Aston Martin is well known for being in the James Bond Film 'Goldfinger'. The DB5 had a Magnesium alloy body built by 'Superleggera' technique and a bigger 4 liter engine producing 325hp in the Vantage version. This Aston Martin is still one of the best known Aston Martin and 'James Bond' vehicles. To add, there was even an estate version of the DB5 for David Brown himself! David Brown liked his DB5 but thought it was too small to carry his polo and hunting equipment. Therefore with the coachbuilding company of Harold Radford Ltd, the Aston Martin DB5 shooting brake was built. Only 12 were built, making it one of the rarest DB5 variants.
4. Aston Martin DBR1
The DBR1 is not only famous for its gorgeous lines but also for Aston Martin's first Le Mans and the World Championship victory. Equipped with a 2.5 liter straight six which later changed to the more powerful 3 liter engine after the rule change; the DBR1 driven by one of the greatest drivers, Sterling Moss achieved the Le Mans and the World Championship victory after 3 times of failures.
5. DBS Superleggera
This car is more modern compared to the other four listed before. The DBS Superleggera is a beefed up version of the DB11 with a stunning twin turbo V12 producing 715hp. The front of the car has a newly designed grille for better cooling but it also looks great too. The sleek line of the car is remarkable and there is also a Volante version, which looks fantastic with the top down. Although the interior does not feel like a $330,000 car(according to Jeremy Clarkson), the car has plentiful of soul and beauty.
