The Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum will be rebuild
Within a year, Europe's highest motorcycle museum will be reopened and expanded
The Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum was for a long time the highest motorcycle museum in Europe, located on the Passo del Rombo at an altitude of 2,175 meters. The Austrian museum, opened in 2016 by brothers Attila and Alban Scheiber, cost 23 million euros and contained 300 vintage motorcycles plus 15 cars.
On January 18, the entire structure was completely destroyed in a fire triggered by a faulty display and the entire collection was lost. despite the intervention of the fire brigade. But the Scheiber brothers did not give up and announced that within a year the structure will be reopened, expanded and equipped with new security systems that are more effective than the previous ones.
More than 250 motorcycles from various private collections are currently expected to arrive. It is hoped that the structure will be reborn more majestic and solid than before, a beacon of motorcycle culture in the mountains between Austria and Italy.
