The Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept just debuted in GT Sport
Those pesky delays are in the past as the GT Sport update 1.18 has now arrived, bringing with it a taste of the new Toyota Supra.
Those hoping for some weekend Gran Turismo Sport action will find themselves at the mercy of an update. Fortunately, though, this one is more than just maintenance.
Update 1.18, as it is known as, is 1.8GB in size, which was delayed more than once, features a brand new circuit known as Dragon Trail Gardens, which on the name alone sounds amazing.
From what we have seen, it is very different to the Dragon Trail Seaside alternative, which is currently in GT Sport, although both share similar scenery. Both forward and reverse versions of the 2.7-mile circuit have been included.
How can a circuit with 'dragon' in the name be bad?
Another addition is the Tsukuba Circuit has been given some Circuit Experience loving, which means you can now learn individual sections and, hopefully, improve your lap times.
You can also now cruise your way through various new GT League content, including a French car-based Beginner League or an Amateur League GR.B tournament for rally fans.
Now we come to what is arguably the main event, the Toyota Supra. Well, the GR Supra Racing variant, which is a race version from Gazoo Racing that comes nearly 16 years after the demise of the road-going version.
It costs 451,000cr and weighs a mere 1,243kg, which means the 591hp output has relatively little to lug around. The real life new Toyota Supra is said to generate 335bhp and 332lb/ft of torque, providing a 0-60mph of 3.8 seconds, but this is yet to be confirmed officially.
