I thought so too. Although, it's a bit tricky with Audi. Besides performance vehicles, it shares a lot with Volkswagen. And same may even apply to Porsche. SUV's are Porsche by name only. Cayenne is not even made in Germany.
It also was not down to the speed that it dried.... It had a lot to do with the fact Henry had just spent a hell of a lot developing his paint..... just as other companies were producing more durable other colours.
Sorry to be ‘that’ guy but Ford Model Ts were available in many other colours. Admittedly black was the only option for most of the production run, but for the first five, and last two model years there were other colour options.

Model Ts were available in multiple colours initially. In fact, black wasn't actually one of those colours until around 1914.

Sure but that famous (maybe apocryphal?) quote is so good: “you can have any color you want, as long as it’s black.”
