The Volvo Fleet pulling McLaren ahead of the rest
And you could own one of the 24 2018 Volvo's along with McLaren merch. I cant wait to see the 2022 edition.
In the summer of 2020 Volvo trucks released these 24 fresh faced FH globetrotter XL's to transport the McLaren racing teams equipment and cars. finished in a sublime mammoth tree metallic grey, beautifully complemented by the papaya orange of McLaren sweeping across the cab. I'm more infatuated with these than the f1 cars in tow.

It became the first time McLaren took hold of 7 the most fuel efficient Volvo's on the market featuring the powerful D13TC engine producing an extra 300nm more torque at lower revs makes for less acceleration and decreased fuel usage thanks to Volvos innovative i-save system. Climbing those hills is going to feel like your driving along interstate 80, this should go toward making an already long standing partnership with McLaren as solid as the trucks themselves.
The truck leading the pack features the i-shift dual clutch giving gear changes smoother than Chris Hemsworth himself along with zero power interruption, this is extremely important as this truck will be pulling the state of the art bespoke essentially priceless race car transporter, no pressure on the driver!

The rest of the the fleet is powered by the D series 540hp sitting on the x-low chassis set up to pull the racing teams mega cube trailers containing the teams hospitality equipment. All trucks are being provided with the outstanding Volvo gold contract which covers preventative maintenance, repairs and roadside assistance, so when these do eventually become available for sale to the public they will be the best looked after trucks on the road and no doubt it will leave people lining up to get there hands on one. although being left hand drive these will be more admired by the long haul European driver.
The 2018 fleet has been on sale since may 2020, they come with a certificate of authenticity by McLaren and are available through Volvo used trucks, no price mentioned but expect to pay a decent sum as they will be the top spec you can get and will have only covered roughly 12,000 miles per season. They also come with some goodies, a McLaren baseball cap singed by Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, a carbon fibre McLaren keyring and a discreetly positioned McLaren racing badge to honour its heritage.
so tell me which one will you be buying the 2018 or will you be waiting for the 2020 edition?
