Auction lots are the perfect place for car-lovers. From rally heroes to road racers, one can find all kinds of cars at auctions. The Porsche collection we are talking about here could be one of the coolest group of cars ever to go under the hammer. From the 918 Spyder to the good ol' 1995 911 Turbo cabrio, this collection has it all.

1995 911 Turbo Cabriolet

Many readers might not know about this old Turbo Cabriolet, but ask a true 911 fan and he will tell you how good this car really was. Powered by a 3.6-litre flat six-cylinder engine, this particular car a carbon fibre steering wheel, instrument binnacle, and a Ruf gearbox fitted by Porsche Exclusive. The gearbox features clutch-less manual gear shifts. WOW

2010 911 Sport Classic

Featuring Porsche's lovely naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat six-cylinder engine, this Sport Classic has an espresso brown leather interior and has more than 400 horsepower thanks to Porsche's ‘Power Kit’.

2010 911 GT2 RS

All hail the widow-maker! 610 horsepower from a turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six make the GT2 RS one mean machine that can scare any supercar. This one is finished in lovely Carrera White color and the odometer says it has done only 6000 kilometres.

2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Presenting a wild GT2 RS minus that big wing. For some reason, the owner has removed the big rear wing but worry not, because the wing will be sold with the car. Finished in Azzuro California Metallic color, this is virtually a brand new car having covered just 450 kilometres.

2017 911 R

Possible one of the purest 911 ever made, the 911 R here doesn't have the red/green stripes that were seen on many 911 Rs. Instead it has been finished in Gulf Blue color and has covered 2800 kilometres. This car though doesn't have the state-of-the art six-speed manual gearbox. The owner has fitted this 911R with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Boo.

2005 Carrera GT

Where do we start with this Carrera GT? Powered by a lovely a naturally-aspirated 5.7-litre V10, the Carrera GT is regarded as one of the greatest Porsches to date. This particular Fayence Yellow Carrera GT has covered around 16,327 kilometres.

2014 918 Spyder

Possible the greatest Porsche ever made, the 918 was the spiritual successor to the Carrera GT. Part of the hypercar holy trinity, the 918 has 900 horsepower and a whopping 1000lb ft of torque on offer. Having covered 4454 kilometres, this is the 389th Porsche 918.

All these cars will be going under the hammer at RM Sotheby's later this month.

  • The ‘95 Cabriolet and the ‘10 Carrera are the only things really catching my eye

  • I suspect Jerry Seinfeld amoung others might take issue with the description of this being the world's coolest Porsche collection. Nice cars but none are that special in collector terms.
