The "normal" Maserati MC20 develops 621bhp from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, but Maserati has announced that there will also be an electric version of the car. With two motors in the back and one up front, it will develop over 700bhp. The EV will be between 80 and 100 KG heavier than the V6 MC20, but it will still be able to hit 60 MPH in two seconds. According to Maserati, "we expect the driving behavior between the battery-electric MC20 and the combustion-engined car to be a little bit different, but we are confident that we can compensate the performance losses that we have due to the weight, thanks to torque vectoring".

Maserati has also announced that the V6 MC20 will start at £187,230 (€ 202,470/$239,914), that there will be a convertible version (no details yet), and that the EV will arrive in 2022.

  • No electric. The V6 they produced for this is an outstanding piece of engineering. Dino juice or go home!
