There's a 200-mile 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista on BaT

And I'm not sure I've ever wanted a modern car more.

The Pista for me is such a special design. It encapsulates everything that I love about cars, and is probably my favorite modern design. This particular example is finished in the historic "Argento Nurburgring" paint scheme, with matching wheels, with "Blu America" stripes.

The only downside to this example, the owner added on about $100,000 worth of options, nearly all of which are carbon-fibre modifications, which are just a shear waste of money (not that that's the point of this car). The window sticker goes so far as to write $36,000 worth of "other options", as well as $844 for carbon fibre wheel caps. I'm not sure what's crazier: these prices, or the people who actually buy them.

It's a shame the car's only done 200 miles, but I still want it. Badly.

  • Does anyone else hate Alcantara? I think it looks and feels horrible.

    • Depends. I like it here and don't mind the feel of it, but I still prefer leather. It is unnecessary, certainly.

    • I agree totally, it often looks cheap. I just can't imagine alcantara steering wheels are going to hold up over time.
