There's A Big Problem With the KIA Stinger But Only the Yellow Ones
Turns out Yellow was a very riskly choice for Stinger Owners.
If you own a yellow KIA Stinger check your mailbox because KIA will be sending you a letter and it isn't a thank you note. KIA is recalling all Stingers that were painted Sunset Yellow due to a supplier defect that causes the paint to crack.
According to a find from Car Adivce:
The poor paint quality was traced to a defective oil the paint relies on to preserve its longevity and strength. Currently the only color effected is yellow and according to the brand it should stay that way.
KIA is now offering all yellow KIA Stinger owners a free respray of their car and a lifetime paint warranty. This means that yellow Stinger owners can relax since their cars are being taken care of by the fledgeling luxury car maker.
KIA's willingness to swiftly deal with this issue and take care of their owners speaks volumes to the brand's mission and integrity. I for one am very impressed with what KIA is doing for owners and it proves to be a noble move by the brand. Especially since the cost to respray each car is $10,000 killing any profits the company may have gained selling the car.

'Luxury' car maker? Think they've got a long way to go before they are anywhere near that epithet.
They said fledgling luxury car manufacturer. Which means inexperienced or immature... Which is what they are.
If you have any job vacancies for grammar and spell checking, send me an email. After reading most Drivetribe posts, it's fair to say that there should be. Errors in almost every post make me cringe and ruin the point of the content. I am aware this may seem sad and pathetic, especially when most of the posts are from third parties, but it just makes Drivetribe look incompetent. Regards, James May.
Nobody cares
Yes they do!
That's how customer relations is done.
It's the Y-49 curse
$10000 to respray each car?! Are you sure? You could buy a whole new car with that money!
I wouldn’t trust a full repaint for less than that.
Probably a FULL repaint, since the paint is everywhere on the car. That means stripping the entire car down to the bare shell, removing all the paint from all the panels, and repainting,
