There’s a huge market for watches with cartoon / comic book / pop culture characters on the dial and the trend isn’t going to stop soon. Just a few months ago, Audemars Piguet released the highly controversial Royal Oak Concept Black Panther Flying Tourbillon. It cost more than most people’s homes and some hated it, but it was sold out within hours and that tells you all you need to know.

Meanwhile, I bought this Ingersoll a few months ago, and I haven’t worn it yet. I haven’t even peeled off the sticker. Ingersoll was the first brand to use a popular cartoon character (Mickey Mouse) on a watch back in 1933 and that’s part of the reason why I got this piece. That, and the fact that this is one of the few Mickey Mouse-themed pieces I can afford (lol).
