There's a rumoured Land Rover Defender 130 coming in 2022 and it'll be massive

8 seats is never too much but it won't be easy to park.

When Land Rover announced the next generation of the Defender, they also said they would make a 130 down the line. So far, we have a 90 and a 110 but a larger model will be coming.

The 90 is the smallest, then followed by the 110, which will make the 130 a giant. If you take a look at this photo posted by SniffPetrol (Richard Porter) on Twitter, you will notice just how long this thing will be.

The Defender 130 is likely to have an eight seat configuration yet will not have any overhang at the back. This would make the wheelbase around 342mm longer than the 110 version which is a fair bit when you consider how long the 110 already is.

However, by the time the 130 is released in 2022, it is possible we might see some hybrid or even EV technologies in the car which would make this the ultimate 4x4 EV but let's not get too excited as it may not happen to be electric. But there is a 130 Defender coming and you should be excited.

  • I've seen a fair few 110s both home and away now and I can safely say that they are sodding huge! This supposed 130 will be about the size of a stretched limosuine, if they're not careful.

    • Their massive aren’t they! I saw one in Lincoln this week and was shocked at the size of it next to other cars
