These rendered car mash-ups will mess with your head
Car makers are co-operating on an unprecedented scale lately. Most notable is the example BMW and Toyota who jointly developed the new Supra/Z4 roadster or Toyota and Subaru with the GT86/BRZ. This helps manufacturers cut time and costs of development by combining their experience, engineering know-how and resources.
This inspired Budget Direct an insurance company to create a series of renders showing some uncanny car mashups.
Ferrari front with that Bentley rear end.
First up we have a Ferrari-Bentley mash-up which I will call the Ferntley it called just as it looks, eeeh at best. While the Bentley inspired muscular rear arches fit really quite well, the front looks as though an elephant sat on the hood of an 812 Superfast.
Still though, to me it's the best looking one of the bunch.
Ford Focus and Beetle ( with a touch of Fiesta)
Next up we have the curious looking Ford and Volkswagen mash-up, personally I can spot Fiesta ST wheels and doors, a Focus RS front bumper and rear wing, and the beetles wheel arches, what can you spot?
Lamborghini Aventador and BMW i8
Next up the is the Bmghino Aventdor i8, so as you can imagine this mysterious yellow machines is the Mashup of a Lamborghini Aventador and the BMW i8. I dont really know what to say about it other than that yellow perhaps wasn't the best colour choice...
We can see the Aventadors front wings and lights combined with the BMW famous kidney grille at the front and the huge hood air intake, air intakes on the side are pure Lamborghini.
Range Rover and the Smart
Next thing has me really crossed, it looks criminally awful and fantastic at same time. This freaky cross between a Ranger Rover and a Smart Car makes me want to set it on fire, but not before taking it for a long and banter filled joy-ride.
It combines the very distinctive Ranger Rover Front end with Smarts body and wheels. It's a Smart Rover! (original I know)
Dodge & Chevy Marriage
I don't really know what to say here...
It's got a Camaro front end with Hellcats hood, Corvettes side air vents and unknown rear end, but it does look interesting.
Porche-Zilla R35 Turbo-S (or something along these lines)
This is probably the most uncanny marriage, a Porsche rear-end combined with the famous, Godzilla Nissan GT-R 35. It looks almost good, but it's too much Porsche and too little GT-R, the Porsche's smooth rear end and curved roof just doesn't fit with the angular and sharp edges of the Nissan.
