These Two Diesel-Swapped Muscle Cars Are More American Than Apple Pie
Having just gotten done listening to Bruce Springsteen's latest album, Western Stars, I got a hankerin' to drum up a little piece on diesels. Around the world, diesels can be found in everything from a Vauxhall Insignia to the latest Audi S models, but in the United States, with the exception of a select few models, diesel engines are typically only found in big burly pickup trucks and semis (lorries).
So what's so special about this 2010 Camaro SS and 2006 Dodge Charger? They're packing diesel engines under their hoods. The Camaro is packing a 6.6-liter Duramax V8 and the Charger has the 5.9-liter Cummins straight-6. The result of these incredible engine swaps are two "sleeper" muscle cars with the ability to roll coal and sublimate their rear tires.
What do you think of these crazy engine swaps? Should diesels be new engine swap of choice? Comment Below!
