Thieves leave Mercedes CLK Black Series sitting on bricks

Thieves can be anywhere, even in the well-lit streets of London.

The unfortunate sighting of a car on bricks is an all-too-common occurrence in suburban streets. Usually, expensive and modern cars have wheel locking nuts installed which can only be removed with a special socket found in the emergency toolkit of the car - however I assume this wasn't the case for an unfortunate CLK 63 AMG Black Series parked just west of London.

Posted to Instagram and YouTube by user anytimespy, this rare AMG was spotted half jacked-up with the rear sitting on bricks, as thieves ran off with the Black Series' exclusive wheels. A hydraulic trolley jack was visibly left under the front of the car, so it's evident that the thieves attempted to steal all four wheels, but only managed to grab the rears before fleeing.

For the owner of a rare and expensive AMG, insurance shouldn't be a problem in covering the cost of repairs and replacement wheels - but it may be difficult however to source another set of genuine Black Series alloys, as they aren't a common part to see floating around the online marketplaces.

This just goes to show that even in well-lit streets of London, thieves and vandals still roam in the open - so best to keep your valuable cars parked in private spaces.

    • Looks like the wheel near the kerb it’s sticking out too much so the thieves will probably have unbolted the wheel (when jacked up) and it’s slipped off the jack.

Horrendous and the thieves should have their hands chopped off!!!!

    • I have seen some crazy stuff by criminals but this may be toward the top of the list. AMG on blocks. WTF is wrong with people? Steal from the rich is one thing but never EVER mess with someone's car. That's just against the rules.

      • Reported it to the police; three other similar Mercs were targeted, in the neighbourhood.

        Creepy.

        New plates cost £40.
