The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is already the world's most expensive and most luxurious SUV with a $330,000 starting price, but a company called Klassen has found a way to bump that price up to $1 million and it may just save someone's life.

For this rather seemingly outrageous price, you actually get quite a lot because this upgrade turns your Cullinan into the world's safest place to be... in a car. For that price, you get 360-degree armour protection, a unique overlap system integrated into the door seals offering CEN 1063 Level BR6 level armour protection, and an armoured ceiling and floor to protect the SUV from the blast of two DM51 hand-grenades exploding at the same time.

But wait, there's more. Other features include multi-layer bulletproof glass, battery and electronic control module protection, reinforced door hinges and structure points, and a set of heavy-duty wheels.

Klassen claims these extensive modifications make this armoured Cullinan "the most luxurious and secure high-end SUV in the world."

Inside, Klassen has kept the Cullinan as stock as usual, but that still means it's finished in absolute luxury. This one is sporting a plum-coloured interior which is a great contrast alongside the car's black exterior.

If you want this kit, Klassen is charging €833,000 ($962,000 or £702,000) at current exchange rates. It's quite an investment but if you have the money to spend, then surely your safety should be paramount.

  • All you need is a roof mounted, cabin operated 50 cal turret and a suspension raise and you've got yourself a luxury tank

  • It’s pretty impressive! I still think I’d rather have an S Class Guardian. It’s one thing to be able to take some serious punishment, but it’s another to take the punishment and be able to quickly get away from it as well. Also, the amor and other defensive measures are engineered and built into the vehicles from the ground up. But still, an armored Rolls is something else…
