This 2006 Ford GT has covered just 11 miles in its 13 year life...
Talk about garage queens! This red 2006 Ford GT has covered just 11.7 miles in its 13 year life. Or in other words, this has never been driven as I'm sure those are just delivery and truck off loading and loading miles. This will anger many people for sure but maybe it's a good thing?
This specific GT was purchased in Texas back in 2006 and still has the same owner to this day. He essentially, bought it and immediately stuck it in his garage. At first, I would be frantically itching to get out and drive it but looking back on it, it was arguably a wise choice as I'm sure it is worth a fair amount now.
He didn't go cheap on the options either. At the time, the Ford GT only had four available options and this owner selected them all. He opted for the white racing stripes, red brake calipers, the iconic silver BBS wheels and the unforgettable Mcintosh radio, which I forgot about.
I assume you know about the 2005 Ford GT but if you don't, I'll give you a quick run down. It was a car to celebrate the 1960s racing legend the GT40, famous for being just 40 inches from the ground to the roof. This modern one came with a 5.4L supercharged V8 which produced an impressive 550hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a bit of a beast. With all this, it could get from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and had a top speed of 205 mph.
The reason this car has resurfaced is because the owner has decided it's time to say goodbye and reap the reward for his lack of temptation. This Ford GT is going under the hammer at the next RM Sotheby's auction and is estimated to sell for between $280,000 and $340,000.
