This '67 Pontiac GTO is the craziest muscle car build ever
People who love mid-engined supercars and exotics don't tend to go for old American muscle cars as the pushrod beasts tended to go around corners as well as a wheel barrow full of wet cement.
But what if you could build the ultimate hybrid, a classic 1967 Pontiac GTO with a mid-mounted twin-turbo 9.3-litre V8, all-wheel-drive, independent front and rear suspension, and a custom-built chassis?
Well, Nelson Race Engines doesn't have to imagine just such a beast as they're building it! Nelson Race Engines is a name familiar to anyone who loves ridiculously overpowered old cars as Tom Nelson has been building twin-turbo fuel-injected American V8s for over two decades now, and he is an expert at making them sing to well over 1000hp.
His latest project is something absolutely next level, though, as he is taking the ultimate classic American muscle car to a new level. The work involved in this project is astounding and we can't wait to see how it goes when it finally hits the pavement!
