This 7-Series crossed with a military truck is terrifying

The Bigfoot BMW Valkyrie 766 is available to rent in Russia. But how do you get in?

When you’re making a beastly monster truck, what would be the ideal body to start with? Some may say a pickup like a Ford F-150, some may even say a flashy sportscar to grad attention. I’m not sure many would suggest that a high-end executive saloon from the 1980’s as the perfect body to sit upon a monster truck chassis.

In order to create the best experience for its touristic customers though, Russian company Tour Big Foot decided to create the largest, most impressive E32 7-Series. Thanks to a GAZ-66 military truck chassis, the 1980’s Autobahn cruiser has been turned into an off-road rambling Goliath.

It’s far from being a wooden shed inside though. The company has done its best to keep the 7-Series’s classy interior including the leather seats and even the innovative tech that debuted on the E32 such as dual-zone climate control. The so-called Valkyrie also has control of all four seats as well as front and rear facing cameras to make sure you’re not going to hit any rocks.

That being said, there’s not much that would ever pose any real trouble to the Nordic god of exploration. With massive wheels making for great ground clearance and traction, self-locking differentials for both the front and rear axles, a short wheelbase and a powerful winch to fix any problem, the Valkyrie 766 is more or less unbeatable.

The car is made to get around the baron Kaluga region while taking tourists on ‘luxury’ tours. There are many different styles of tour available such as simple trekking to observe mother nature’s beauty and more extreme off-roading for those that like to get down and dirty.

Bigfoot will allow its customers varying lengths of tour as well ranging from an hour and a half to over a day. What I love about the Bigfoot website is the clear differences in customers they cater for. In the seventh line of their Q&A, it says that tours lasting more than 24 hours can opt to stay in a luxury hotel. However, on the 12th line, the company recommends customers choose “appropriate clothing or take disposable overalls.”

I have to say that if it were me splashing around in muddy Russia, for the day, I would want to spend the night in luxury.
