Ringbrothers is an American motoring company that aims to cater for the most enthusiastic of muscle car owners. It sells modified parts for cars ranging from a Ford F100 pickup to the most iconic of Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros.

Although creating the odd bonnet scoop and interior accessory is what the outfit does the most, it’s best known for the absolutely insane restomod projects it brings to the home of the American tuning community, SEMA. This year, attendees of the Las Vegas show will be able to see a rather done up version of a 1969 Chevy Camaro on the Ringbrothers stand.

Gone are the 5.0-litre V8 and dated three-speed manual transmission. In their place is a drivetrain to challenge those of modern performance muscle cars like the new Shelby GT500. In fact, this particular Camaro has a whopping 890hp coming from the 6.8-litre, GM-built LS3 V8 engine which is enhanced by a 2.9-litre Whipple supercharger.

That planet destroying power is sent to the rear wheels via a petrol head pleasing 6-speed manual gearbox that was created by Bowler, the company that also makes off-road racers. So you know it’s not going to have any issues taming the astonishing power plant.

Unlike most classic muscle cars, this remastered version of the Camaro actually has some elements that will help with cornering. Hopefully that will keep the engine from being ruined by the sudden presence of a tree impaling it. In fact, both the chassis and suspension have been created by Detroit Speed Engineering, a team used to setting cars up for track use.

You may notice a few subtle tweaks to the exterior body work that do just enough to distinguish the creation from an untouched Camaro. These include a 3D printed bonnet, diffuser, front splitter and roof, all made from lightweight materials. By far the most rejuvenating modification is the implementation of modern LED headlights.

The project came after one of Ringbrothers’ Belgian customers decided to have it commissioned. Rather unconventionally, the car’s owner has been named Valkyrja. To all those that don’t fluently speak Old Norse, that means Valkyrie. So, in essence, it shares the same name as Aston Martin’s top of the line track destroying monster. I know which one I’d rather have, which would you?
