This Honda S2000 has a 650bhp Tesla motor!
We have new level of crazy..
So far this month I've covered a 2JZ Mustang, Rotary Jaguar E-Type and a Porsche 911 with a Formula 1 engine, this one is just as or somehow even crazier. This Honda S2000 is a bit of Frankenstein sporting Chevrolet Bolt battery packs and a single Tesla Model S motor sending 650 electric horsepower to its rear wheels.
The car is built by "Véhicules électriques Simon André" EV specialist shop in Quebec, Canada, the car is a dedicated drag build where it already posted a very respectable time of 10.60 seconds at the 1/4 mile while beating a Tesla P90D Ludicrous with 762hp and AWD.
A peak under the hood
The build isn't quite done yet, the team addmited on Twitter that they are not quite happy with the current top end of the car and that some more tweaking is needed.
Just yesterday the folks behind the car shown of the new skinny wheels up front and brought the 1/4 mile time down to 10.266 sec at a 126.1 mph. This puts it a little over half a second behind the Dodge Charger SRT Demon that does the 1/4 in 9.65 at over a 140mph.
The upcoming Tesla Roadster 2.0 which will be the closes thing to this one of built, is meant to do the 1/4 mile in 8.8 seconds and hit 62mph in an insane 1.9 seconds and will be street legal..
