This is an open-air museum / graveyard for the vehicles that were used during the evacuation of the Chernobyl Power Plant, the city of Pripyat and the surrounding villages in April and May 1986 after the explosion.

Properly impressive stuff

  • OH WOW!!!!! So you are really into the thick of it. So awesome. I am completely struct by the fact you can go to Pripyat and tour safely ish. I would love nothing more. Please keep snapping away and share. This, THIS is the stuff I want to see. Be safe though. You don't need fallout on you. Radiation sickness isn't pretty.

I'd love to go to the bomb testing site in northern Ukraine and take a swim in nuclear lake. I have nothing to lose at this point. Don't you do it though. Stay far away from that place. PLEASE!

    • The amount of radiation you’re exposed to is actually normal-ish. And it doesn’t harm if you only spend a day or two there

  • I’d love to go there! Every single vehicle that was in the inclusion zone at the time, and everyone used in the cleanup, were bought by the government and abandoned. Many have had people steal parts off of them
