This Is Definitely The Most Hilarious Way To Sell Your Girlfriend's Used Honda
The essence of budget 90s motoring
Most people sell their cars on Craigslist or Autotrader, where you end up with your fair share of messages asking how it runs and whether you can drop it off alone in a Walmart parking lot at 3 AM. But videographer Max Lanman thought his girlfriend's 1996 Honda Accord EX Coupe deserved a little better than that.
Lanman used his expertise to write and direct a professionally-produced commercial for his girlfriend (now fiancée) Carrie's car, complete with sweeping drone shots, an actress, and even an original score. Altogether, the project required at least nine people, and Lanman notes in the YouTube video description that it took "a lot longer than I had planned."
Apparently the commercial worked--the car is currently being auctioned on eBay, and at the time of this writing, the maximum bid has breached a whopping $20,000. That's more than a brand-new Toyota Corolla, and very nearly as much as a new Accord.
The video ends with a simple, Don Draper-esque tagline: "Luxury is a state of mind." Especially if you're in a 1996 Honda Accord Coupe.
