The first Fiat Multipla presented in 1998 and produced until 2003 continues to make a name for itself, not least because of its somewhat awkward appearance. It's a pity because the Multipla was not a bad car. Among other things, it had a very spacious interior for a vehicle of this size and could accommodate six people!

Blogger TheSketchMonkey, known for his creations of redesigned classic models, has now taken on the ugly duckling from Fiat. The aim was to create the Fiat Multipla, as it might have come out in 2020 with modernised styling elements. So is the result more convincing than the original vehicle?

Yes, the 2020 Multipla is more successful from an aesthetic point of view. The rounded areas have been replaced by much more contemporary stretched lines. In some ways, the whole design is even reminiscent of the Fiat Centoventi, the concept presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, which represented Fiat's great electric turning point for the next few years.

So, is a new Multipla commercially possible? Yes, but it would probably be eclipsed by most of the much more attractive and trendy SUVs. If the new Multipla were to come back, it would have to be extremely innovative to convince, perhaps even more innovative than the first-gen Multipla!
