This is the All New Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo
Can't go wrong with an electric estate!
After months of testing, Porsche have unveiled the new Taycan Cross Turismo to the world. The Cross Turismo is an off road capable version of the Taycan sedan, utilizing two larger "Performance Battery Plus" battery packs. With 83.7 kWh of energy, and two permanent-magnet synchronous motors, you can expect anywhere from 469 horsepower to 750, depending on which variant you choose. Variants of the Cross Turismo are similar to the Taycan sedan, including the base 4, 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. No rear wheel drive models are included, maximizing the performance on and off road. Porsche stated that the Turbo S Cross Turismo can push itself from 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, but will likely do so faster in real world testing, like the Taycan sedan did.
As for the range, Porsche didn't explicitly mention it for Cross Turismo models, but will be announced around the arrival of the electric wagon in the summer. The EPA estimates the range for the 2021 Taycan Turbo and Turbo S sedan models at 192 miles and 201 miles (309 and 323 kilometers), respectively. The Cross Turismo's "range mode" lowers the car 0.8 inches (2 centimeters), but will possibly be marginally lower due to the 100 pound extra curb weight in comparison to the sedan variants.
Porsche also includes adaptive dampers and air suspension as standard for all variants, as well as raise the Cross Turismo 0.8 inches taller than the sedan. If you enable the gravel mode, it will raise the car an additional 0.4 inches.
The new 2021 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo will be available here in the States in the summer of this year, with three years free charging included from Electrify America. Pricing for the Cross Turismo starts at $92,250 for the base 4, $111,650 for the 4S, $154,850 for the Turbo, and $188,950 for the Turbo S.
