This is the BMW X7 Concept massive kidney grilles and all
Just a few short days before its official reveal, the all-new BMW X7 has been leaked
BMW like all car companies has made a few questionable decisions over the years. Take the BMW X6 for example, very questionable as the world never asked for it and it was a very fugly thing. Now they have decided to get into the uber large luxury SUV game with this, the all new and very massive BMW X7 concept.
The nice folks over at Bimmerpost revealed the news to the world a couple of days before its official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show. From the leaked pictures, we appear to have one seven seat monster of an SUV. For starters, you cannot miss those massively imposing kidney grilles as they dominate the front of the thing.
It almost looks all a bit Lincoln Navigator like in design which isn’t really the best start you could ask for when designing a car. The sides are covered in slashes and a single aluminium air intake that continues along the lower length of the car.
At the back, it’s all very futuristic looking with a one piece LED light cluster and yet more vents shrouded in aluminium. This concept if also covered in ‘E’ badges meaning that it should be a plug in model.
With BMW being all very BMW, the inside is all very 8-Series like so expect some items to make it in a toned down way as this is just a concept after all.
Clearly, the larger kidney grille design is here to stay regardless of if we like it or not. What do you think of the X7 Concept? Is it a great move for BMW or a kidney grille too far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Looks like the lastest Volvo...
it looks like the ugly German cousin of the Volvo xc90
I think you may be correct
Horrendous tank. If that sort of look works for you buy an XC90, it'll be loads cheaper and looks better anyway. Why on earth would you choose that instead of a Range Rover?
If you look at individual parts and components it does have some good and interesting styling cues. But as a whole it looks god awful at the moment. I would think the production version would be a less wacky looking!
Agreed, I expect it to be watered down massivly
IMHO, If comes equipped with proper off-road features (meaning low-range and differential locks) could be the only beemer suv to make any sense at all, a proper competitor to the GL Klasse, the Q7 and the V8 Toy/Lex... And the Range Vogue off course.
Obviously you havent owned a true off-road vehicle to know that those two things are pretty useless if the car is not designed for harsh terrain, such as chassis or transfer box. BMW is not a company to built an off-roader. It's consumer...
