This is the Copen GT-R mutant by Liberty Walk
Again the Japanese tuner has decided to merge a couple of perfectly good cars into this one-off oddity
This is the latest offering from Japanese super-tuners Liberty Walk and it’s the most insane thing we’ve seen in a quite a while. Depending on your point of view, there have been several previous victims or beneficiaries that have been on the receiving end of the full Liberty Walk ‘treatment’, these include the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Nissan GT-R R35 to name but a few.
Now, the tuner has given us this mutant looking thing, any idea what car it actually started life as? To be fair, I had to fully read the press release to work it out that this ‘car' started life as two cars comprising of the tiny Daihatsu Copen and a Nissan GT-R.
Yes, that is two cars, and your correct, there is only one featured here. What Liberty Walk has done is cut the face and the bottom from the poor defenceless GT-R and grafted it onto the equally defenceless little Copen to give us what you see here.
I’m just going to let that sink in for a second, as opposed to ruining just one car, Liberty Walk has ruined two cars to make this monstrosity or brilliance. Again, all based on your point of view.
It has every hallmark or the Liberty Walk cars of old, massive flared arch work, tarmac scrapping ride-height and insanity from pretty much every angle. The end result is something that would look at home in any recent blockbuster science fiction films.
