This is the latest 900-hp Brabus ‘Rocket’
They literally call it the ‘Rocket Edition’
Unveiled at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, this is the latest example of Brabus’ folly. In a good way.
It’s based on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 - which means it is an SUV - but Brabus calls it a “limited-edition supercar”. Its official name is ‘900 Rocket Edition’.
The twin-turbo V8 that powers the standard 63 has been tweaked and it now puts out 900 hp (hence the name ‘Brabus 900’) and 921 lb-ft of torque (1,250 Nm), enough to propel the Brabus 900 from standstill to 3.2 seconds and then on to a top speed of 205 mph (330 kph).
As always, the car is customisable at your will but I’d personally go for the crazy titanium/gunmetal gray with chrome finish that Brabus used for these pictures - paired with exposed-carbon aerodynamic body kit 24-inch hi-tech forged wheels with carbon aero-discs.
The cabin is upholstered in grey leather with contrasting red accents (and stitching), and the same red theme is always used for things such as the ‘Rocket Edition’ emblem and the engine cover.
I like Brabus. I like the fact that you know where you stand with them.
