This Is The World's Fastest Go-Kart and It Does 0-60 In 1.5 Seconds
Did we mention it goes for $60,000? No? Oh. It costs 60-freaking-grand.
We've seen some pretty ridiculous go-karts pop up recently. Many of them have been one-off builds by school for projects or by engineering firms to showcase some of their prowess. Now it looks like everyone needs to step up their game a bit.
What we have here is a new go-kart made by Daymak. It's called the C5 Blast Ultimate and it's got a testing video with some cheesy background music to go along with it. Check it out.
What they didn't tell you in the video is that this kart can light up just about anything off the line. It's 0-60 time is 1.5 seconds. That's ridiculous. It's powered by a 2400 watt-hour lithium battery that powers a 48-volt brushless DC motor. But that's not all. It's also got 12 Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) motors strapped to it, each powered by a 5000mAH battery. Now we're talking. That's some serious power for a little kart.
And to stop all that torque and speed it's got hydraulic disc brakes out back.
Though it's only still a prototype, it's still hugely impressive. No details have been made public about actually being able to purchase this yet, but if you want to know, it costs $60,000. The lesser Daymak model, the Blast Standard is $9,999 and can only get you to 60 in a plebeian 3.9 seconds.
That model is for peasants only.
