This is what happens when revheads design a cruise ship

You get a two-level go-kart circuit overlooking the high seas.

When it comes to cruise-ship activities, they're all pretty similar: water slides, pools, bars and maybe even a casino.

However, this cruise liner, named Norwegian Bliss, has taken it one step further with a go-kart track on the top deck.

The 305-metre-long circuit spans over two levels, and allows 10 karts on the track at the same time.

The go-karts are electric-powered and capable of reaching 48km/h with an F1-style ‘boost’ button allowing for brief bursts of speed.

Its sister ship, the Norwegian Joy, was first of the fleet to feature a go-karting facility, but it’s 40 per cent smaller than what you see here.

I hope P&O Cruises Australia are paying attention...

    • What a brilliant idea. I'd rather have one of those than to have a choice 36 different swimming pools.
