This is Why I Ordered a Porsche 911 GT3! | REVIEW

This opportunity to drive the 911 GT3 has got me excited for my incoming GT3!

The opportunity arrives for me to test drive the new Porsche 911 GT3, of course a future car to join my garage! I've been keenly awaiting the chance I'd be able to go for my first drive in the car that I've ordered bound and this is it! The car did not disappoint by any means, just listen to the noise of the flat 6 as it screams up to 9,000rpm. If I didn't have one on order, I'd have been doing everything I could to get one now! Bring on the future Shmeemobile GT3!

  • I'm staggered at the superficiality of this gushing, patronizing review. Driving a car for 1hr 15mins and mentioning incessantly the engine noise is not what this car is about... its about driver involvement, performance and handling surely and not about bragging that you have one on order. A lost opportunity.

  • The facts are that the GT3 is available in three versions, the standard Comfort which you drove, the Club Sport 003 which you have ordered and the manual only Touring 039. The Comfort model is intended for German unrestricted autobahn use, hence the aero and easy access seats with standard seat belts. The Clubsport is intended for enthusiastic circuit use and has the half cage, race seats and harnesses. The half cage rattles and bangs on uneven roads and it takes ages to get in and out of the seats let alone connect up the 6pt racing seat belts. The Touring has a less extreme aero package and is very much a low profile "Q" car designed so as to not attract attention on the public highways. You drove the Comfort intended for high speed autobahn use without venturing near an autobahn - so how can your review be considered competent , of any value and informative?

  • You ordered a manual or the pdk?

  • You chose a PDK transmission and white exterior paint. Smart man.
