SEMA is the home to all sorts of crazy, weird and wonderful automotive creations, hence the exhibitors find it increasingly hard to attract the wandering eyes of consumers who are constantly distracted by yet another creation.
This lead Forgiato an alloy wheel manufacturer to think outside the box about how to create the most exciting or as some would say 'lit' car to showcase their new wheels. Soon things got very literal as they purchased a burned out wreckage of Mercedes Maybach put their fancy new alloy wheels on it, put it on a stand and declared having the most 'lit' car at SEMA.
Forgiato is a custom wheel manufacturer from L.A, the brand now specializes in creating high-end wheels usually meant for luxury and performance brands. It's quite known for its crazy designs. While some of the designs might be of questionable taste they certainly do grab your attention.

LITerally
Thats puntastically terrible... :D
I have more where that came from
There's nothing great or hip about a burned-out car. And knowing SEMA people, they probably lit it themselves.
I did a little digging around this story, aparently it was bought in this state.
I was just making Paul Walker jokes the other day.
Stupid, but Forgiato wheels are pretty cool and stupidly expensive though. That's why when I build my Lada road rally car, it'll have Forgiato's with whitewall tires.
