This one-off Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was involved in an accident
Switzerland is an ideal country for carspotters, people looking for exotic vehicles. Some events with ultra rare cars, for example, make their work much easier. This is the case of the Supercar Owners Circle Club, which recently organised a meeting at Gstaad Airport.
Most of the participants were thrilled by the presence of some of the most eccentric supercars, but it was the crash of a Bugatti that was the centre of attention. And this takes on a completely different significance when you consider that the vehicle in question was a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse L'Or Blanc, the only one of it in the world.
After a high speed run on the airport tarmac, legitimate for such a vehicle, the driver of the hypercar naturally began to brake hard. The airbrake was raised to its maximum position and the tires started to squeal. This arsenal, however, struggled to stop the convertible's two tonnes.
As a result, the car collided with hay bales at the end of the runway. Fortunately, the damage is minor. According to some witnesses, only the front grille was damaged, which still requires a complete bumper change. This is sure to be a very expensive operation, especially for this unique car.
