This one will always be one of my favorite Matchbox cars. As a proud father of two girls the story behind this car is a powerful one. Here is part of the story as posted in www.caranddriver.com
The toy is modeled after Mercedes factory rally driver Ewy Rosqvist's 220SE sedan which she used to win the 1962 Argentinian Touring Car Grand Prix, making history as the first female winner alongside Ursula Wirth, her co-driver. She won all six stages of the rally, setting a new average speed record of 78 mph in the process, and was the first person to finish three hours ahead of the competition.
