This Pagani Zonda Aether sold for an eye-watering $6.8m
Is it worth the money? That's for you to decide.
The Pagani Zonda Aether Roadster was revealed to the world last year at the Pagani Raduno event. This one-off beauty of a car was ordered by a customer that is also well-known for their order of the one-off order of a Ferrari SP38 Deborah. Yep, this guy is a fan of rare cars...
The Ferrari SP38 was a variation of the Ferrari 488, which was inspired by the body's of the F40 and 308. Not much was known about the Ferrari, but what I can show you is the gorgeous design of it!
Moving back to the Zonda; we are fortunate to know a bit more information about this matte-black, wallet bullying monster. For starters, it has a 7.3L AMG V12 engine that can output 749 horsepower at 8,000 RPM and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Zonda Aether is described as 'ultra-desirable' due to the fact that new hybrid supercars are making people miss the classic driving experience. During the same auction, Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F2002 Formula One car was sold for $6.6m, $200,000 less than the Zonda Aether! To put this in perspective, a Formula One car that was driven by the most successful driver in the histroy of the sport sold for less than a one-off Pagani Zonda. That is mental.
$6.8m is equivelent to £5.25m, €6.13m, or $9CAD. This is the equivalent to nearly 3 Bugatti Chirons, 43 Lamborghini Huracans, or 170 Tesla CyberTrucks! Do you think it is worth it? Let me know in the comments below.
