This rare Skyline is selling for supercar money
We've seen the prices of JDM legends like the Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7 and Nissan Skyline soar exponentially in recent times. However, these highly priced Japanese gems were few and far between so I didn't really pay any attention towards them until one landed in my city! The Nissan Skyline is a relatively common car here in New Zealand. You'll tend to see quite a few of them on the roads, most aren't worth much and have had enormous amounts of mods added on. Most of them are regular R34 sedans or GTs but this is no regular Skyline.
It's an ultra rare 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec 2, only 1855 of these were ever made with only two being sold brand new in the country. This is then a very special car but what makes it even more special is that this car has only done 49,000km throughout it's 18 years of life and it has only had one owner in Japan who has kept it bone stock.
This car should then command a significant price and so it does, it's priced at a monumental $181,000 NZD (121,000 USD). That's more than a used McLaren MP4-12C or a Lamborghini Gallardo or a Ferrari F430 for that matter. The same dealership also have another one of these with 71,000 km for sale at $133,000 NZD.
