This retro C5 Corvette Z06 is going to auction
In 2001 an automotive company called Advanced Automotive Technologies (AAT) built a small amount of coach-built cars based on the C5 Chevrolet Corvette platform and it is one of these that now finds itself heading to Mecum's auction running January 3-13 at the Kissimmee show in Florida.
The 2001 Corvette Z06 has completely new fiberglass body that reminiscent of the original Corvette of the 1950s. Known as the Commemorative Edition this particular is only one of six cars made by AAT.
With these kind of credentials a car like this is a huge future contender as a high value collectors item, even if C5 Corvettes haven't quite begun to appreciate in value on a larger scale just yet. However all that means is there is still plenty of appreciation time for this little red corvette.
