This Subaru Impreza S10 WRC driven by Petter Solberg can be yours
A rally car, a real one!
If you dream of having a rally car in your garage and not just in your bedroom on nice posters, we have some great news for you! The Subaru Impreza S10 WRC driven by Petter Solberg himself during the first season of the Rally Japan in 2004 is up for auction by Silverstone Auctions.
The car is in near-exceptional condition. This is because it passed through the hands of Prodrive Legends in 2019 to be restored to its original condition, as if it were ready to tackle the first stage of the rally. The car was stripped down to the chassis before being rebuilt with new parts if necessary.
The ultimate goal was of course to keep as many original parts as possible to make the Japanese sports car as authentic as possible. The vehicle was repainted by the same company that painted it in 2004 in order to respect the original configuration as much as possible. The fuel tank, brake discs and pads were replaced.
The seats were restored by Sparco and a Nokia 6310 was placed in the vehicle. The teams used exactly this phone to communicate! This Subaru Impreza S10 WRC was victorious on 11 stages of the Japanese rally and finished the whole rally more than a minute ahead of Sébastien Loeb's Citroën Xsara WRC.
