This Tesla Model S has been converted into a hearse

You can buy it, too.

This is exactly what you think it is and it is just as creepy as you'd expect. Or at least I sort of felt that way at first. Somebody converted a Model S into a hearse and it looks... well, it's a hearse.

Let's cut to the quick. This is a commercial vehicle, in that it has been built specifically so it could be sold, not put in a museum or whatever, and it has indeed been listed on a website called Finn (they've got interesting stuff, mind) in, this is no coincidence, Norway.

It was built by Jan Erik Naley, a hearse specialist, and it's only done 1,000 miles.

I personally find it a little disturbing but then again, it's a hearse. However, people do need these things for work reasons and funeral homes can save money on fuel with this vehicle.

I hate to say it but it kinda makes commercial sense in Norway. It costs NOK 1,999,000, around £180,000, and even though I think this is a lot of money, I've been doing some research and learnt that hearses are always very expensive. Plus, the Model S isn't exactly cheap to begin with.

  • I think this is very clever actually because it’s cheaper to run, luxurious for passengers and there is no noise from an engine during the funeral

    • That’s what I was trying to say in the article. My first reaction was “oh for the love of” but then I thought about it and realized that this is actually a smart choice if you run a funeral home service

    • This reminds me of an old tv show I liked. Many, many years ago there was a TV show on MTV Italia called “MTV trip” (if memory serves ) which featured two Italian actors/comedians driving across Europe in a Fiat 130 that had been converted into a...
