THIS TRIBE LEADER IS GOLDEN: BRANDY BANKEN OF PICKUP & TRUCK SPOTTING
TO GET TO KNOW OUR GOLDEN TRIBE LEADERS BETTER WE DECIDED TO ASK A FEW QUESTIONS. WE DISCOVERED THE DANGEROUS NATURE OF PICKUP & TRUCK SPOTTING.
What made you start a tribe?
I started a tribe because people really seemed to enjoy when I posted photos of local pickups and trucks that I had found. There didn't seem to be a tribe that specialised in those vehicles, so I figured I might as well start one.
What fuelled your interest in Pickup & Truck spotting?
My home state (North Dakota) probably has more pickups per capita than any other place on earth, and nearly as many 4x4s. We always had vehicles like this in my family as I was growing up, so I developed a fondness for them early on. But since there are so many pickups and trucks around here, I'm always on the lookout for ones that are kind of unique and stand out from the others a bit
What's your most memorable "spot"?
My most memorable “spot” was a great old Chevrolet Apache pickup with a perfect patina of worn paint and rust. It was sitting in front of a small car repair shop after hours. Immediately after I took the photos of the truck, I got yelled at and chased out of the parking lot by a really pissed off old man and his ferocious looking guard dog. But at least I still had the photos to show for it.

Which are your top three tribes?
That would be "Spotted This Today, You?", "It's A Sign" and
"Shitty Car Mods".
What is DRIVETRIBE to you?
Drivetribe to me is a place to interact with other people that share my love of cars (and really offbeat humor). I think I enjoy the banter back and forth with other members more than anything. With it's worldwide audience, I've gotten to know a really fantastic and diverse group of people here.

Great interview. Did you get a photo of the angry old man?
Sorry, that didn't occur to me at the time.
For evidence, or just to piss him off more?
good read
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brandy what are your views on the Hennessy Velicopter are you a fan or not.
In my opinion, it's just too over-the-top. The regular Raptor is already pretty bad about wheelspin when you try to accelerate quickly. I've had the back end step out pretty badly in the rain, as well. You would be replacing tires more often...
