Most of us know Cadillac for their ultra-soft, plush and luxurious saloons and SUVs, as well as a few slabs of V8 muscle. What's not so well known, at least outside of America anyway, is that Cadillac are also in the business of death. They make a hell of a lot of hearses and older models can often become collectors' items or the basis for some incredible customisations. This Cadillac hearse, however, is the daddy of all Cadillac hearses and it could be yours via Streetside Classics!

This hearse is basically a Chevrolet K10 truck chassis with the body of a Cadillac hearse put on top and a 5.7-litre V8 that's been modernised a bit with fuel injection and a newer aluminium radiator. Basically, it's the same concept Jeremy Clarkson used to create his infamous Excellent, except it's a hearse on the top instead of a sports car. As you can clearly see, it's got some pretty nice 17-inch ION wheels with super chunky Mastercraft MXT tyres wrapped around them. Could this hearse do some properly serious off-roading? I guess whoever owns this beast next will have to try it out and see!

Inside this massive beast the interior looks pretty similar to a standard old Cadillac. That's no bad thing at all, as it means you get wonderfully sumptuous seats and plenty of luxuries. The infotainment system has also been given a modern refresh that includes Bluetooth connectivity, a touchscreen interface and (perhaps most importantly, given how enormous this thing is) a reversing camera. Perfect for blasting some good old-fashioned hard rock or heavy metal when you take this massive beast out off-roading or when you need to send somebody out in style!

How much will this behemoth cost you? It's currently being advertised at a price of just shy of $20k. A small price to pay for something truly incredible and unique, I'd say! Nobody else in the world, even amongst owners of the craziest and most customised Cadillac hearses, will have something like this. Plus, when you need to take your last ride, you'll have the perfect vehicle to go out in!

  • Imagine loading the coffin into the hearse! It might be a unique idea but there is a very good reason nobody else has done it before.

  • Great camping vehicle.........plenty of room to sleep, lower center of gravity than a traditional camper, so it can go offroad more easily...........but...........if you don't like the hearse aspect, take a look at a vehicle I just found while shopping for houses.....it's a 1965 Pontiac wagon......could be a Catalina or Tempest, but I can't tell for sure.........interesting treatment, though.
