This is a 1974 Mazda pick-up truck. It is powered by the 13B rotary engine and was recently sold on Bring a Trailer. It is exactly the sort of vehicle you know you shouldn't buy, but still want to.

Under the hood, you'll find a 13B Wankel engine straight out of a Mazda RX7, which was installed by the seller himself, because he works at a rotary specialist workshop in California, called Lucky7 Racing. The 13B rotary engine, which makes around 135 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque, is coupled with a 5-speed manual and a Dell'orto side-draft carburetor. Inside you'll find Alpine AM/FM/Cassette, a two-tone bench seat upholstered in cream vinyl, brown carpeting and a beautiful veneer dashboard.

This is definitely a rare vehicle. Mazda built 15,000 B trucks between 1974 and 1977 but it has been out of the truck business since 2009. Furthermore, there aren't that many rotary pick-up trucks anywhere in the world. This one is in decent condition and it has done 52,000 miles, although it's unclear how many of those miles were done before the engine swap. It was sold for $15,250.
