This V8 Lotus Reaches 10,000 RPM
This modified hillclimb Lotus Elise has two engines and revs to 10,000 RPM
This is one of the fastest hillclimb cars in the world. Throughout its life, its been called an Opel Speedster and a Lotus Evora. But it's a Lotus Elise underneath, beneath the extensive performance modifications.
Hillclimb Monsters on YouTube shows just how fast it is. This car is the creation of Dan Michl, and it took over ten years to develop. But this older build is still as fast as ever. It uses a 2.8-liter Hartley V8, which is made of two Suzuki Hayabusa units put together, and makes 450 horsepower. Placed in the middle of a car weighing only 750 kilograms (1650 pounds), it's more than enough power. And just watch it go.

Hmmm. Ghost shifting. Never seen a gear lever move itself like that.
