This Will Be The World's Fastest Prius Because Hellcat And 1,000 Horsepower
In a world where we try to set the best times, create the most horsepower, and be the fastest and quickest on the road/track, it was only a matter of time when that spirit of competition encroaches upon the Toyota Prius world. That hybrid world where efficiency matters the most and its most grueling competition is the painful hypermiling slog of downhill coasting and slow going uphills. That has all changed now as some maniac put in a Hellcat motor into a Prius.
It's not just a standard 707 horsepower Hellcat engine either, as the supercharger has been replaced with a 4.5 liter Whipple unit, resulting in a whopping 1,000 horsepower. The folks at American Racing Headers also built a full NHRA approved tube chassis underneath the hybrid skin and converted the normally front wheel drive Prius into a rear-wheel powerhouse thanks to a 9" Ford rear end, the strongest rear end available today.
Thankfully for you existing Prius owners, you can pull off the same stunt as the Hellcrate motor is now available for your hard earned $19,530. Obviously there will be a lot of work involved to match the insanity from ARH, but when there's a will there's a way.
