Tips to get you started creating on Drivetribe
Some quick tips to get you started creating on Drivetribe!
Drivetribe is a great platform to express yourself so here are some quick tips to get you started.
Make a poll!
Everyone loves a good poll and it's the best way for the Drivetribe community to express their opinion in a short amount of time. Polls are also good because they have a very short creation time making them a get bumps quick outlet. A quick tip for polls is to always have an extra option for people to comment so they can best express themselves.
Make a quiz!
Quizzes appeal to the schoolboy in all of us. They challenge the brain and are a great way to get bumps. Common and popular quizzes include zoomed-in areas of cars and headlight quizzes.
Create a schedule!
Creating a schedule is one of my best tips on this list. Schedules are a great way to grow a committed following. If your posts get popular, then people will want to read more and this is a great way to tell them when to come back for more. On a more simple note, consistency and just posting a lot is the best way to gain bumps.
Comment on lots of posts!
This is just a simple way to get your name around and build recognition. The more you comment the more you get to interact with the community. Positive interaction makes people want to look at your posts and see what you are up to. Make sure you read the article you comment on so you know what you are talking about!
When looking for pictures for posts use Unsplash
Unsplash is a lifesaver when it comes to copyright strikes and royalty-free images. The website has over 10000 free images for use in articles. This can save you from things like post takedowns and even law suites
Follow car news closely and be the first to write about something new!
In my time on Drivetribe, I've noticed that the most viewed and bumped posts are always news. So, watch car news closely, and when you see something new jump on it. Try to be the first to write about it.
Become an avid car spotter!
Everyone, I mean everyone, likes a good car spot. Everyone especially loves spotting the hypercar or classic variety. These kinds of posts don't draw near as many bumps as a good poll or some news, but they are still a quick and easy outlet to share photos of the cars around your city or town.
Respond to the comments on your post!
The community loves a good interaction. Strive to be an avid comment reader. When you are done with an article, the fun doesn't stop there. Watch the post closely and respond to your comments. As I said before, positive interactions build community. A quick tip as well is to read your post several times over before and after posting it. I sometimes notice mistakes weeks after I make a post.
Last tip...follow pop culture!
Posts that I find often get a lot of impressions and bumps are pop culture posts. This involves celebrity car collections and YouTuber's cars. Also, things like expensive car crashes and people doing dumb things to their car become popular. My example is a post of a Youtuber drawing on a Lamborghini. This received 80K impressions. It takes work to hunt things like this out, but it's worth it.

One thing about your "car wallpaper" idea. While this does get you some great high-quality images which attract attention, be very careful about which ones you're allowed to use. Many of these have copyrights on them, which can get you sued and your post taken down. I recommend using Unsplash as all the images are royalty-free and fairly high-quality. You might have trouble finding an exact car, but at least you don't have to worry about copyright laws.
Gotcha thanks!!
No worries
