Number 5 - Alpina B3 S Biturbo Touring

The M3 after a long time is coming, but not in estate form. No worries. You can buy this Alpina now! 0-60 is dispensed in a startlingly quick 3.9 seconds, and you will be motored to 200km/h, at which point the ride might start to get a bit sickening. It has 500 litres of luggage space with all the seats up, so could be a family holiday wagon.
Number 4 - Audi RS6

You may be surprised that the RS6 is this far up the list, but it is a brand that historically has always underestimated performance figures. 0-60 mph is a claimed 3.6 seconds, and this is a properly mean looking estate. Fat arches and a sharky grille differentiate you from middle management's A3, and it is (fairly) practical as well.

The B5 is the M5 that we always wanted - the estate. It is fast, subtle, cool and comfortable, 0-60 takes just 3.5 seconds and it tops out at 322km/h. It gets the classic Alpina 22" wheels, but the speed of a Ferrari.
Number Two - Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate

The E63 S Estate. I would rather have an M5 Competition than an E63 S, but when we get to the estate class, BMW don't offer a rival. Therefore, the Merc captures all of it. It has a sleeker body than the old E-Class Estates, over 600bhp and over 800Nm, and does 0-60 in an astounding 3.4 seconds. Plus it burbles like a proper AMG.

The Porsche wins this. And yes, that is it's real name. It needs shortening somehow, but nevertheless it has won. 0-60 in 3.4 seconds is a blistering time.
