Although Turkey has a couple of automobile brands, they are not known to the rest of the world. However, that could change with the arrival of TOGG (Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu), a new brand that aims to transform the country’s automotive industry.
The company has revealed two electric prototypes: a C-SUV and a sedan with the former expected to be launched in 2022. The company claims that the platform is developed in-house by TOGG engineers and designers, with intellectual property rights 100 percent belonging to Turkey. Apparently, as part of the design process, a total of 18 design houses from Turkey and abroad were assessed objectively in line with 6 different criteria set by TOGG.
