Tom Cruise goes back to Top Gun (with a Porsche 911 GT3)
He is accompanied by Mark Webber and David Coulthard
We all know Tom Cruise, his passion for the extreme, stunts, motor sports (Top Gear, Days in Thunder ...).
Well, last week he went to the Silverstone circuit (in Great Britain) not only to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix, but to shoot a very special video.
In fact, the Channel 4 television channel invited him to shoot a promotional video for this year's Grand Prix, and also to pay tribute to the film that made Tom Cruise famous and which has been dreaming of generations of spectators : Top Gun.
As such, the US star has surrounded himself with Mark Webber and David Coulthard.
This video is a tribute more than supported to the film: the music used is "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins (soundtrack of Top Gun), Steve Jones who is the presenter of Channel 4 F1 finds himself wearing the code name "Iceman" in tribute to Tom "Iceman" Kazansky played by Val Kilmer in the film.
Fans of the film will also recognize the dialogue from the film (such as "I am dangerous" or "I feel the need for speed").
Channel 4 even went so far as to add fake submachine gun noises when shifting gears, or missile locking sounds when using the front parking sensors.
And bonus, at the end of the video, our 3 lads sing ... "You've Lost That Lovin 'Feelin" by Johnny Rivers.
I let you admire this very beautiful tribute.
